BitMart is an excellent exchange option for traders who seek to go beyond popular coins and cryptocurrencies into trading futures with leverage. By offering a huge range of coins, including less popular ones, it's a boon for cryptocurrency traders, both intermediate and advanced level traders.

How does BitMart tax reporting work?

Are you looking for a BitMart tax report? Then Accointing has what you need. BitMart is a great crypto exchange, but it doesn’t provide tax documents and reports. But with Accointing’s BitMart calculator and portfolio tracker, you can review your transaction and trades history with ease. It also allows you to calculate and generate tax reports in the format required by your country.

All you have to do is integrate BitMart with Accointing and import your transactions and trades.

The following are the various ways to achieve that:

  • API – Enable automatic connection and sync between Accointing and BitMart.
  • CSV – Export BitMart transactions data and upload it to Accointing.
  • Accointing template – download and fill out our simple template, then upload it into Accointing.

Integrate with Accointing via the BitMart CSV/XLSX file

If you don’t want to link your Bitmart account with Accointing using the API, you can also do so by importing a CSV file containing your history of trades, withdrawals, and deposits. Here is a simple guide to go about it.

Downloading CSV files from BitMart

BitMart doesn’t provide a way for users to directly download CSV files of trades and transaction history. Instead, you can contact the customer support team and request the CSV file directly.

  1. Take a high-quality photo of yourself holding your ID and a handwritten copy of the request note.
  2. Using the email linked to your BitMart account, send an email to the support team via support@bitmart.com with the photo attached.
  3. The support team can take up to five days to send you the CSV file of your transaction history data.

Importing CSV files into Accointing

  1. Login to your Accointing account.
  2. Hover over the Wallets menu, and click Add wallet.
  3. Search for BitMart in the search field and select it from the list.
  4. Browse the location of the CSV files and select it for import.
  5. Select All from the Import From dropdown or pick the required date from when to start the import.
  6. Click the Save button to start the import process.

How to review and track your BitMart transactions in Accointing

  1. Once through with importing BitMart transactions, go to your Accointing dashboard to view a summary of your portfolio.
  2. Choose the desired date range to start reviewing your BitMart transactions and trades history, gains, and losses.
  3. View the various crypto assets and click to start the analysis of your buy and sell dates. You can select multiple assets at a time to compare performance for the selected dates.
  4. You’re now ready to track your BitMart portfolio, distribution, and spread. Find out where each crypto asset is stored, whether in an exchange or a wallet.

Common issues with importing transactions from BitMart

BitMart API will only share up to 550 latest transactions hence will result in incomplete reports and discrepancies. If you have a very active BitMart profile, it’s best to use the CSV import option instead.

Unfortunately, BitMart doesn’t offer a direct method of downloading the transactions CSV. You have to send an email to their customer support team, which may take up to five days to respond. The process of requesting the CSV file is also tedious as you have to attach a photo of yourself holding your ID and a CSV request note.
