Accointing can generate tax reports in a format matching your country's standards.

To get started, integrate your Digital Surge account with Accointing and import your transaction history data. Here are various ways to do that:

  • API – give Accointing automatic access and sync to your Digital Surge transaction data.
  • CSV - Export your Digital Surge transaction history and import it into Accointing
  • Accointing template - Download and fill our template then upload the data into Accointing.  

Integrate with Accointing via the Digital Surge API

  1. Sign in to your Digital Surge account.
  2. In the top right corner, click the three-line icon and click on ‘API Key.’
  3. Click ‘Create a new API Key.’
  4. Choose read-only the click next.
  5. Complete the 2F authentication.
  6. Click ‘Generate API key.’
  7. Copy the shown API key and keep it safe.
  8. Log in to your Accointing account.
  9. Hover over the ‘Wallets’ menu and choose ‘Add wallet.’
  10. Key in ‘Digital Surge’ in the search input and choose it from the list.
  11. Select the recommended ‘Automatic’ option and click Continue.
  12. Set ‘Digital Surge’ as the wallet name
  13. Copy and paste the API key into the provided input.
  14. Choose ‘All’ under the ‘Import from’ dropdown.
  15. Click the Save button to start the integration.

Downloading CSV files from Digital Surge

If you don’t want to link your Digital Surge account with Accointing using the API, you can also do so by importing a CSV file containing your history of trades, withdrawals, and deposits. Here is a simple step to go about it.

  1. Sign in to Digital Surge.
  2. In the top right corner, click the three-line icon and choose ‘Transaction history.’
  3. Next, click on ‘Export history’ from the top right side.
  4. Choose ‘Transaction history’ from the dropdown menu.
  5. Set a date range for the entire period you’ve been trading on Digital Surge.
  6. Select CSV from ‘Choose format.’
  7. Click ‘Export history.’

Importing CSV files into Accointing

  1. Log in to your Accointing account.
  2. Choose ‘Add wallet’ after hovering over the ‘Wallets’ menu.
  3. Search ‘Digital Surge’ in the search input then select it from the list.
  4. Choose the ‘File import’ option and click Continue.
  5. Set ‘Digital Surge’ as the wallet name.
  6. Click the file chooser to browse the location of the CSV file downloaded and select it for upload.
  7. Select ‘All’ from the ‘Import from’ dropdown.
  8. Click the Save button to initiate the data import process.

How to review and track your Digital Surge transactions in Accointing

  1. Once Digital Surge is integrated with Accointing, go to your dashboard for a portfolio summary view.
  2. Set the desired date range and start evaluating your portfolio’s performance, gains, and losses.
  3. Choose a cryptocurrency asset to analyze its buy and sell dates. You may also select multiple assets at a go to compare their performance for the chosen dates.

Common issues with importing transactions from Digital Surge

To create Digital Surge API, you must verify an active phone number. Users unwilling to provide their phone numbers won't be able to use the API integration option. if you’re not willing to provide your phone number, Digital Surge allows you to download a CSV of your transactions history.

The CSV file from Digital Surge may fail to be imported due to incomplete column headers. Digital Surge regularly updates its CSV file format. If your downloaded CSV file won't upload successfully, you can request the support team to send you a complete CSV file.
